Vanstar Construction Co. completed a 19,500 SF medical office building for St. John’s Mercy Medical Center on the Southwest corner of the intersection of Manchester and Old Manchester Roads in West St. Louis County.

This building supports multiple doctors’ office suites and lab facilities. The design for the two-level, steel frame masonry, situated on 1.5 acres, features precast architectural elements along the roof line at the main entrance.

The building, which contains an underground parking garage, was a design/build project by Vanstar Construction Co. In addition to general contracting, the design/build team handled all municipal recommendations, including the addition of sewer and water circulating systems, as well as all electrical, mechanical and plumbing.

St. John’s Mercy Medical Center is owned and operated by the Religious Sisters of Mercy and is a member of the Sisters of Mercy Health System, St. Louis.

In addition to handling all phases of the St. John’s Mercy Health Center, the construction team contracted to complete the tenant finish for the suites of Doctor’s Cannon and Deckert, the building’s first occupants. Working with the St. John’s building manager, the suites were completed on time and within budget, coinciding with the completion of the building shell.
